So I made this small excel file, that can help find the optimal derate. But until it's out, I thought I needed a way to validate my derate at takeoff without the use of TOPCAT. We're all waiting for the 777 profile for TOPCAT. Small modification of the first version and you have now two sheets, pounds and kilogramme. This fuel planner was created from data collected by kACARS_free during flights test, and from the PMDG's tutorial, the result is approximate but corresponds to consumption relative with the consumption of the NGX.
This updated version corrects a few issues with time zone calculations. The build in airport and runway database helps you find all the information you would need to plan your flight including takeoff performance settings, engine derates, assumed temperatures, landing configuration, landing and takeoff speeds, and more. The calculations include takeoff and landing weights as well as estimated flight time, cruise speeds and more. Calculations are based on many available optional user inputs such as selected Cost Index, weather information, altitudes en route, altitude steps, passenger load, luggage, and many other factors that impacts fuel usage and aircraft performance. It is designed to be used with the PMDG NGX and its ranges of engine and weight variants and other options such as Short Field Package and winglets. The 737 Dispatch sheet is a comprehensive dispatcher, fuel planner and performance calculator in Excel 2007 and above. This updated version includes a unit change feature for baro settings similar to the distance and weight unit selectors as well as a few other corrections and additions. If you have headwind, the fuel planner takes it into consideration, but not the tailwind, because the wind can be lower than expected! You can also fill the adjustement's datas to the wind : You only have to fill the departure's ICAO - the distance until the arrival - the arrival's ICAO - the distance to the alternate airport - the ICAO of alternate. This fuel planner was made from datas collected by kACARS_free during flights test, and from the PMDG's tutorial, the result is approximate but corresponds relatively well to the consumption of the NGX.
